ARTIST STATEMENT
Much of my work focuses on mass, space, and movement, and began as an exploration of connections between printmaking and kinetic sculpture, and the making of prints with sculptural qualities. Through the combination of modern power tools and traditional printmaking methods, I am creating images that imply 3-dimensional space and movement. I continue to search for new lines and mark making made possible by powered implements, and in each print I am working to create marks and images that can only be produced through the printmaking process. In each piece, I try to evoke a different sense of mass, space, movement, and energy.
