I have two prints in Ink & Clay 39 — an annual competition of printmaking, drawing, ceramic ware, clay sculpture and mixed-media utilizing any variety of “ink” or “clay” as material. For the first time, Ink & Clay was open to artists working in all 50 states in the United States of America, officially making this a national competition. The ink co-jurors were Liza Folman, Professor of Fine Arts, and Michael David, Professor and Chair of Fine Arts; both at The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. The clay juror was Stanton Hunter, Associate Professor of Art at Chaffey College, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The exhibition runs from September 14 – October 26, 2013 in the Kellogg University Art Gallery at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, California. There will be a reception on Saturday, September 21, 2013, 3pm – 6pm.

The AMoA(Amarillo Museum of Art)Biennial 500: Printmaking is an exhibition of artwork by artists residing within a 600-mile radius of Amarillo, Texas. Two of my prints, MSM-composition 12s and MSM-composition 3, were selected for the exhibition. The exhibition will be up until August 11, 2013. Kathleen Edwards, chief curator of the University of Iowa Museum of Art, Iowa City, was the juror for the exhibition. She has an extensive background in fine art prints and I’m impressed with the collection of prints she selected for the exhibition.
